CSA : Community Supported agriculture
CSA stands for Community Supported Agriculture. A flower CSA works the same way as a vegetable CSA. A member typically joins in the early spring before the growing season starts. Their payment helps farmers buy seeds and other supplies for the coming year.
In return for their investment, members receive a bi-weekly bouquet of naturally-grown flowers. Bouquets vary week to week depending on the season. All are grown on our 1/1/2 acre flower farm that is part of our 65 acre Angus Beef and hay farm. We also raise vegetables. The season starts with lisianthus and wildflowers and we then mid- summer will have sunflowers and zinnias. Fall is a combination of mums, celosia and pumpkin on a stick. In 2019 we will be raising over 120 varieties of annuals and perennials on the farm. Each 30 stem bouquet is a reflection of the season. All bouquets will contain flowers and fillers for a beautiful look.
For 2019 we will be offering two share programs. A Bi-weekly share and a weekly shares. Share programs run June 10 through September 23. We are trying to arrange different pick up sites for the New Year, but currently pick up is at farm on Tuesday’s from 4-6 pm. Please let us know if you need a different day or time. We will try our best to accommodate. (When other sites are offered we will let you know.) Upon pick up of your first bouquet, members will receive a large country glass vase to display your bouquets. Please pay below and complete the form, if you would like to pay using cash or check please call Ellen at 443-945-0370.
